Olympia Tour
Our tour will begin from your hotel where the driver will await you at the prearranged
time. We head by road towards the
Ancient Olympia Stadium, where the Olympic Games,
from 776 B.C. to 393 A.D., were held every four years, in honor of the god Zeus. There you will be able to see the remains of the gymnasium and the wrestling arena, sculptor Pheidias
workshop, the temple of goddess Hera, the temple of Zeus built in the Doric style
in the 5th c. B.C. Moreover, you will see the stadium where
the Games
were held. Visiting the museum you can see the famous statue of Hermes
created by Praxiteles.
Finally, we will return to the hotel or you may choose to be dropped off at any point
on the return route.
