Argolida Tour
Peloponesse Tour
Our tour will begin from your hotel where the driver will await you at the prearranged
time. This is an opportunity to get to know the Peloponnese with its wonderful
landscapes and some of the most significant historical monuments.
We start by heading southwest until we reach the Corinth Canal. We will make a stop
here to look at the canal, which connects the Aegean with the Ionian Sea. From
there we travel towards to
Ancient Corinth where the Apostle Paul lived and preached for two years.
In this ancient city we can see the Octavian temple and the Lechaion Way, as well
as the museum which is known for its beautiful amphorae.
Afterwards we continue by road towards Epidaurus.
The view, aesthetics and acoustics of the theatre are breathtaking, as well as the
feeling one gets sitting on the ancient stone seats. From there we will head towards
the monument of Asclepius. We then drive on to visit Nafplio "the old Venetian town"
which was re-built by the Venetians in the 16th century and was the first capital
of Greece. Nafplio is a city with a rich history, old churches,
historic squares and neoclassical buildings and many local dishes. We can also visit the famous castle
called Palamidi and stop for a meal in one of the traditional taverns.
Our next stop is Mycenae which was discovered by Heinrich Schliemann in 1870. There we will visit the tomb of Agamemnon and the Royal Palace. The ruins of the ancient city lie above
the new town of Mycenae.
Finally, we will return to the hotel or you may choose to be dropped off at any point
on the return route.
